Compassionate Science

Science is a very vague word. When people hear science, usually the first thing to pop into their heads is a lab coat or maybe some weird chemicals. Science is actually so much more than that. Sure science is chemicals and drugs to help save lives, but it can do so much more. Science is the reason that Neil Armstrong landed on the moon and said the words "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind", which has inspired a countless number of people to pursue a career of their own. Science is the reason that i am typing this right now. People might believe that without science life would be, not so much insignificant, as it would be impractical. We wouldn't be as advanced as we are now. But along with everything else that is great, science brings so many uncertainties. Uncertainties that I can talk about for hours and hours, simply because the list goes on and on. So in a final not-"Uncertainty, is killing me."

The Future

In 10 years, the future will most likely be very similar to today. It has the potential of being something great but with the rate of technology, it'll take just a bit more than 10 years for something BIG to happen. In 10 years, the best man kind will be at is a larger phone with more battery life. But in 100 years, the possibilities are endless. The world right now has the potential to break out into World War 3. There are so many crisis's and they are popping up left and right. Tensions between countries are high and i wouldn't be surprised if some nuclear weapons were used. If the world calms down, then there will be even greater accomplishments. The cure for cancer, a better source of energy, and perhaps a greater virtual reality. There will be a drastic improvement of artificial intelligence to the point that people will use them as lawyers. With some luck, the world will begin populating a nearby planet which could potentially solve the overpopulation crisis. There will, of course, also be an advancement in weapons. A scientist might make science fiction a reality and come out with a potential "Light Sabre" or perhaps a "Laser Gun." These will of course be beyond expensive and not open to the public until "further notice" A.K.A. NEVER!!! But just knowing that they exist would be pretty cool. Final point, iron man suits. Maybe not as indestructible as they are in the movies, but it will definitely be able to jet around and shoot laser beams. If weapons become so advanced than nuclear weapons might seem too weak and they'd just get rid of them which could save the world, potentially.

One Time I Laughed Really, Really Hard

There is only one time that I can remember me laughing really hard. It was actually at one of my own jokes and sure it was funny but thinking back at it I shouldn't have laughed so hard. It was on a weekday, I don't remember what day though, and I had gotten invited to go see "The Fault in Our Stars." I honestly didn't really wanna see the movie but i heard that it was impossible to watch it and not cry, so i went to go challenge myself and lost. But that wasn't the funny part, the funny part was after the movie. Like most people, I myself like to keep the ticket stubs to movies I go watch so that I can eternally remember them. 4 of us had went and 2 of the people thought that keeping them was stupid. So when my friend handed me the ticket stubs to take mine I said "Imma take 2 so that it looks like i went with someone." I don't think I ever laughed so hard in my life. I was literally crying and even the thought of it made me start cracking up again. It got to the point where I had to meditate in the car just to stop laughing.

Modern Times Review

I personally enjoyed Modern Times quite a lot. It had very deep and well thought out messages. I wouldn't give this movie a 5 stars because it was lacking in the way of character expressions. I did enjoy most of the expressions but I found myself frequently getting frustrated with the Gamin for constantly looking straight into the camera. I'm no professional but when you talk to someone you tend to look at them or at least in their general direction. There were some moments that tried to mix some humor with the dark atmosphere and i feel like that kind of confused me on what to feel.Chaplin's humor was brilliant even though i could not really relate to most of. The stunts were wonderful and i'd give it an overall rating of 8.5/10. Not my favorite movie but I know I wouldn't mind re-watching it any day.
