Undeserved Misfortune
A brilliant example of undeserved misfortune in a film is, of course, "Frozen." (SPOILER ALERT) In Frozen, Elsa has these powers that are considered evil. She has almost killed her sister and was forced to be isolated as a child. On top of that, her parents died on a trip in some rain storm. It was really tragic and Elsa had done nothing to deserve it. Undeserved misfortune in my life is again tricky. One of my dogs had died when I was really young. I guess that must count as underserved misfortune. But that is debatable since nature must take it's course. Undeserved mainly because I was so young and it would have been less hurtful had i been older. This has most definitely been done in a movie. If i remember correctly, Marly and Me was a movie with a similar undeserved misfortune.

Conflict
One of my all time favorite conflict in a movie has to be "Wreck it Ralph." There is actually multiple conflicts but the whole mistreated Ralph was great. I feel like i think it's better than other conflicts because of how relatable it is. Not exactly 100% relatable but somewhat. I really do have trouble thinking of a conflict from my life, most of my conflicts are very internal. So instead of reflecting on my conflict, I'll reflect on a friend's conflict. A friend of mine has trouble with their father. Her father was gone for essentially all of her adolescent years. He had came back 2 years ago and according to her he wasn't even trying to be a good father. I haven't talked to her about it since she had originally told me but I often wonder if things worked out. This is probably a potent idea for a film, in fact it's probably already been integrated into a movie. (SPOILER ALERT: STOP READING NOW IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN ALL THE STAR WARS FILMS) Star Wars used something similar to this. Except it was all sci-fi and he cut off his son's hand.

Elephant Man Review
The Elephant Man was a very intriguing film. It had a very
peculiar feel to it that sort of kept me on the edge of my seat. It has an
eerie sense that was ultimately dark and obscure. The Elephant Man is hard to understand;
in fact you might not understand it the first time watching it through. I know
I didn’t. David Lynch did an incredible job with this movie. The villains are
very easy to hate which I feel takes a lot of work and skill to fully show. It
also gives a great sense of sympathy for John Merrick (the main character). You
as the viewer are not so disgusted by him but instead you feel sorry for him.
The make up crew did an excellent job as well. The movie really just envelops
you into a certain perspective that is oddly relatable between most people. But
the confusion of the plot and certain scenes sort of make the movie just a bit
too obscure to really understand. I give a 7.5 out of 10.
My Name is John Merrick
Today a delightful woman named Ms. Kendall visited me. She
was kind enough to bring me a book with all of Shakespeare’s plays. She also
gave me a picture of herself, which I decided to put next to my bed. Her visit
was rather short and I do wish she could have stayed longer. Her company was
most pleasant. We recited part of the book she gave me and it was truly quite
wonderful. She spoke of a magical place known as the theatre. It sounded
amazing and I do wish I could go visit one day. She noticed my cathedral and
though it was nice. She also told me I wasn’t an elephant man, but instead I
was Romeo. I have never felt so great in my life. Dr. Treves sure is a great
man. I’ve gone from getting screamed at to getting complimented. I must
remember to thank him one day.
Welcome to my Nightmare Bwa ha ha ha!
I don’t have nightmares too often and usually when I do I
try to forget them as fast as possible. I throw them in my mental fault where
it will remain sealed away forever. But one nightmare, in particular, I found
very interesting. There was a massive party at my house, lots of people but I
don’t remember actually seeing anyone’s face. That might just be because I had
the nightmare years ago. Well in the dream, there was an animal in my backyard.
I don’t remember what it was but it was within the giant cat species (jaguar,
panther, etc). I was also the only one that knew the panther was there so I
attempted to close the door from my house into the backyard. I remember running
through my own home and yet I still didn’t make it in time. It was already in
the house. When I went back to try to warn people, everyone was ignoring me.
Everyone just continued partying until the animal got outside. Everyone began
to panic and run into their cars. I tried to find my parents or at least
another close relative I could leave with, but before I knew it everyone was
gone. I was all alone and I remember thinking that, that cat had probably
killed my dog and now it was going to kill me. The last thing that happened was
I was face to face with this animal. Just as it was about to lunge at me, the
dream froze as though someone had hit pause on a movie. Then I closed my
eyes(in the dream) and woke up.

The Art of Procrastination
Procrastination has for some time been a struggling factor for many people both in school and in life. Procrastination, for those who are unaware of the term, is the name for putting off an assignment til the last minute. I truly do commend Mr. Lawnsdown for coming up with the experiment of making our assignment due "whenever." Truthfully, i haven't even started. I am still churning through ideas on what to do it on. I'm also fairly certain that at least 85% of Lawnsdown's students also have yet to start. I truly believe procrastination to be a lifestyle, How so? Well, even now as I type this out i am actively procrastinating. I should be doing my A.P.U.S.H. homework but instead I am doing this. Why? The hell if i know. I'm sure you don't realize why you procrastinate as well. It just... kind of happens. As you sit there, vigorously thinking, you just sort of slip away, People would argue "Well i procrastinate because homework is boring and I'd much rather be dancing, playing guitar, watching TV, etc." But to me, drawing isn't boring. I love drawing regardless of how awful I am at it. I am actually currently working on a drawing of an owl(when I draw I try to get an essence of photo-realism even if it is somewhat lacking so this drawing will take a while) and I feel as though I will finish it before my project. Why? I don't know. I guess procrastinating has simply become second nature for some of us.
Side Note for Lawnsdown: I apologize if i butchered your name(spelling wise). But I would also appreciate it if you gave ME(and only me or anyone else who asks for one) a due date for October 31st. I had originally planned on turning it before then but I can't find a way to bring myself to doing it.

Compassionate Science
Science is a very vague word. When people hear science, usually the first thing to pop into their heads is a lab coat or maybe some weird chemicals. Science is actually so much more than that. Sure science is chemicals and drugs to help save lives, but it can do so much more. Science is the reason that Neil Armstrong landed on the moon and said the words "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind", which has inspired a countless number of people to pursue a career of their own. Science is the reason that i am typing this right now. People might believe that without science life would be, not so much insignificant, as it would be impractical. We wouldn't be as advanced as we are now. But along with everything else that is great, science brings so many uncertainties. Uncertainties that I can talk about for hours and hours, simply because the list goes on and on. So in a final not-"Uncertainty, is killing me."

The Future
In 10 years, the future will most likely be very similar to today. It has the potential of being something great but with the rate of technology, it'll take just a bit more than 10 years for something BIG to happen. In 10 years, the best man kind will be at is a larger phone with more battery life. But in 100 years, the possibilities are endless. The world right now has the potential to break out into World War 3. There are so many crisis's and they are popping up left and right. Tensions between countries are high and i wouldn't be surprised if some nuclear weapons were used. If the world calms down, then there will be even greater accomplishments. The cure for cancer, a better source of energy, and perhaps a greater virtual reality. There will be a drastic improvement of artificial intelligence to the point that people will use them as lawyers. With some luck, the world will begin populating a nearby planet which could potentially solve the overpopulation crisis. There will, of course, also be an advancement in weapons. A scientist might make science fiction a reality and come out with a potential "Light Sabre" or perhaps a "Laser Gun." These will of course be beyond expensive and not open to the public until "further notice" A.K.A. NEVER!!! But just knowing that they exist would be pretty cool. Final point, iron man suits. Maybe not as indestructible as they are in the movies, but it will definitely be able to jet around and shoot laser beams. If weapons become so advanced than nuclear weapons might seem too weak and they'd just get rid of them which could save the world, potentially.

One Time I Laughed Really, Really Hard
There is only one time that I can remember me laughing really hard. It was actually at one of my own jokes and sure it was funny but thinking back at it I shouldn't have laughed so hard. It was on a weekday, I don't remember what day though, and I had gotten invited to go see "The Fault in Our Stars." I honestly didn't really wanna see the movie but i heard that it was impossible to watch it and not cry, so i went to go challenge myself and lost. But that wasn't the funny part, the funny part was after the movie. Like most people, I myself like to keep the ticket stubs to movies I go watch so that I can eternally remember them. 4 of us had went and 2 of the people thought that keeping them was stupid. So when my friend handed me the ticket stubs to take mine I said "Imma take 2 so that it looks like i went with someone." I don't think I ever laughed so hard in my life. I was literally crying and even the thought of it made me start cracking up again. It got to the point where I had to meditate in the car just to stop laughing.

Modern Times Review
I personally enjoyed Modern Times quite a lot. It had very deep and well thought out messages. I wouldn't give this movie a 5 stars because it was lacking in the way of character expressions. I did enjoy most of the expressions but I found myself frequently getting frustrated with the Gamin for constantly looking straight into the camera. I'm no professional but when you talk to someone you tend to look at them or at least in their general direction. There were some moments that tried to mix some humor with the dark atmosphere and i feel like that kind of confused me on what to feel.Chaplin's humor was brilliant even though i could not really relate to most of. The stunts were wonderful and i'd give it an overall rating of 8.5/10. Not my favorite movie but I know I wouldn't mind re-watching it any day.

My Thoughts on Bullying
Though i am a firm believer that we live in a binary reality, controversial topics like bullying definatly make a case against that. Bullying has and always will be a problem in most, if not all, schools everywhere. It seems to me that it is only human nature to try to be "dominant" and bullying is just a way that some people use to find that dominance. Is bullying bad; yes and no. There have been countless suicides and psychotic rampages because of bullying, but there has also been countless geniuses that claim they wouldn't be where they are now if it wasn't for that special someone(that being the bully of course). Bullying, to me, is not really a problem. Everyone talks smack to each other now-a-days and it's getting more and more common with each passing generation. I honestly believe that this will be integrated into our way of living. The only real problem when it comes to bullying is physical bullying. Punching someone in the face is in no way horsing around or simply a joke. With words you can joke around about someone in a way that might even make them laugh, so i don't entirely see what's wrong about it but at the same time i don't see what's right.

My Favorite Movie
My favorite movie of all time probably has to be "The Breakfast Club." The breakfast club is a brilliant film, directed by John Hughes, that describes the life of certain individuals. All of the characters are relatable in one form or another and that's partially why I like it. One thing that made me pick this movie over "Reservoir Dogs" or "Guardians of the Galaxy" is that it sort of makes you assume the rolls of each person. In the beginning it makes it seem like the characters are all filling their stereotypical rolls, but as the story unwinds you slowly get to know them better. This movie really knows how to appeal to emotion and I'd be lying if i said I didn't shed a tear or two while watching this movie. It's also got it's funny moments which add onto the overall appeal of the movie. I personally think that this movie is a lot better when you watch it with someone else, but that doesn't mean it's still not enjoyable watching it by yourself. I give it a 10 out of 10!
